What makes light duty towing in the SOLO District different?
SOLO stands for South of Lougheed. Appia Developments built four towers on a 6.65-acre site at Willingdon Ave and Lougheed Hwy, right beside Brentwood Town Centre station. Altus, at 4485 Skyline Drive, rises 48 levels with offices below the homes, as the Altus building profile notes. For the wider area, see our light duty towing across Brentwood.
The parking is secured and underground. The plan for the four towers called for 1,968 resident stalls, 445 retail stalls and 530 office stalls. That puts three kinds of drivers in one garage: residents, Whole Foods shoppers and office workers. A dead car in any of those stalls is usually a light duty tow, and the first job is getting through the gate. Our parkade towing article explains why access comes first.
Parkade entrances and clearance heights are not published, so we confirm them with you. For AWD cars and EVs, our SOLO District flatbed page explains how we load once the car reaches the street. If it is just a flat battery, try SOLO District roadside assistance first.
SOLO District light duty towing questions
Who lets the tow truck into the secured parkade?
You, a concierge or building staff. Meet us at the gate or leave clear access instructions. Without access, we cannot reach the car.
Can you tow a car from a car-wash bay or an EV stall?
Yes. The towers have car-wash bays and EV charging stations. Tell us the bay or stall number so we know how much room there is to turn.
My car is in the retail parking for Whole Foods. Is that different?
Only the access. Retail stalls are usually easier to reach than resident levels. Give us the level and the nearest elevator.
Which address should I give?
Use the tower address, such as 4485 Skyline Drive for Altus or 2008 Rosser Ave, then add the level. If you prefer to write it out, use our contact form.
Can you tow from Aerius, the newest tower?
Yes. Aerius is the final SOLO phase, with 319 units, and its cars are handled like the rest. Give us the level and stall.
I work in the Altus offices and my car will not start. What now?
Office stalls are part of the same underground. Tell us you are in the office parking and the level, and we confirm the price before we come down.
Light duty towing in the SOLO District: resident levels vs retail levels
Both are underground, but the access and the traffic are not the same. Knowing which one you are in tells us who to call for the gate.
Resident parkade
- Secured gate, so we need you or building staff on site.
- Assigned stalls can sit tight between pillars, where dollies help.
- Many resident cars are AWD or electric, which means a flatbed at the top of the ramp.
- Tell us the tower: Stratus, Altus, Cirrus or Aerius.
Retail and office parking
- Shared with shoppers and office tenants, so it gets busy at peak hours.
- Easier to enter, but more cars move around the ramp.
- A wheel lift in the SOLO District is quick for front-wheel-drive cars here.
- Office workers stuck after hours can still call, since we are open 24 hours.
SOLO District light duty tow: what should you tell us?
These details let us send the right truck and set the price the first time.
SOLO District light duty towing in brief
- Stratus, Altus, Cirrus and Aerius are the four SOLO towers, each with secured parking below.
- Most calls are dead batteries and no-starts in underground stalls.
- We confirm the price before hookup and plan the gate access with you.
- Hwy 1 is a few blocks away, so tows to shops elsewhere in Burnaby or Vancouver are easy to plan.
- Retail drivers from the Whole Foods level are covered the same way as residents.
- Parked next door at the mall instead? See light duty towing at The Amazing Brentwood.
