Why is wheel lift towing a good fit for Buchanan West?
Buchanan West is the City of Burnaby's name for a planned high-density neighbourhood bounded by Lougheed Hwy, Gilmore Ave, Halifax St and Madison Ave/Douglas St. The city's master plan notice set out those lines. Today it is mostly surface parking in front of White Spot, Fitness Town, Club16, Cactus Club Cafe, Sleep Country, Staples and the Executive Suites Hotel and Conference Centre. Open lots and nose-in stalls suit a wheel lift well, and this page is the local arm of our Brentwood wheel lift towing service.
The lots face Lougheed Hwy, so cars come and go all day. A short truck can pull in, hook a car from the open end of its stall and leave without circling the lot. Hotel guests with a car that will not start at checkout are a common call, and so are gym-goers at Fitness Town or Club16. A boost might be all it takes, so ask about Buchanan West roadside assistance first.
Change is coming. The Daily Hive overview describes up to 12 towers and about 6,000 homes over 10.7 acres, with Buchanan St and Carleton Ave extended through the site. The first proposal, at 4141 Lougheed Hwy on the corner of Gilmore, is a rezoning application only. Once building starts, lots will close in stages and we will move our pickup points with them. Damaged cars go on a Buchanan West flatbed.
How the car is parked matters more in a lot than on a street. A car backed into a stall shows its front to the aisle, so a front-wheel-drive car lifts straight out. A car parked nose-in shows its rear, which suits rear-wheel drive. When the drive wheels face the curb, we set dollies under them first. Tell us which way it faces when you book the tow, and the truck comes ready.

Buchanan West wheel lift towing: common questions
Can you tow from the Executive Suites Hotel lot?
Yes. Tell us the row, and let the front desk know a tow truck is on the way.
Will you remove a car the lot owner wants gone?
We tow cars for their owners. Private parking enforcement is handled by the lot's own contractor.
Can you tow from the Staples lot at the east end?
Yes. The CN Thornton Tunnel runs beneath that end of the site, but the lot itself is open surface parking, and we hook there like anywhere else in Buchanan West.
Will the lots close for construction?
The redevelopment is planned over many years, and start dates are not set. We check access each time we come.
Do you cover Gilmore Place too?
Yes, it is right across Lougheed. See Gilmore Place wheel lift towing.
How do I get a price?
It is confirmed before hookup. Send your details and we will call it back.
