Light duty towing at Gilmore Place: what to know first
- Onni's Gilmore Place covers about 12 acres, addressed at 4180-4190 Lougheed Hwy and 2108-2186 Gilmore Ave.
- Phase 1 alone was planned with about 1,800 parking spaces, so most calls start underground.
- Streets through the site are pedestrian-only, so the truck meets your car at a public street.
- AWD and electric cars ride a flatbed once they reach street level.
- Phase 2 is still to be built, so expect construction and lane changes nearby.
- The price is confirmed before we hook up, at any hour.
Why do Gilmore Place light duty tows start below ground?
Gilmore Place sits on top of Gilmore SkyTrain station. Its Phase 1 has three towers of 64, 51 and 43 storeys, and Two Gilmore Place is the tallest tower in Metro Vancouver, as RENX reports. Thousands of residents, shoppers and office workers park beneath it. When one of those cars will not start, it is a job for our Brentwood light duty towing team.
The retail podium is anchored by a T&T Supermarket, with about 180,000 sq ft of shops over three levels and office space above. Grocery runs mean many short stays and many batteries tested on cold mornings. If the car only needs a boost, try roadside help at Gilmore Place. If it needs a shop, we tow it there.
Parkade entrances and height limits at Gilmore Place are not published. We ask for the level and the exit you know, then choose the truck. AWD cars and EVs go on a flatbed at Gilmore Place once they reach the street, and front-wheel-drive cars often go on a wheel lift.

Gilmore Place light duty towing: parkade or street?
Where the car stopped decides how we set up.
In the parkade
- Tell us the tower: the 64, 51 or 43-storey building.
- Mention locked wheels or a dead EV, which need dollies to move.
- Have a fob or a building contact ready to open the gate.
- Let us know if the car is near Phase 2 construction hoarding.
On the street
- Gilmore Ave near Dawson St is served by buses 28, 129 and N9, so we set up away from the stops.
- On Lougheed Hwy, wait on the sidewalk if staying in the car is not safe.
- Buchanan West is just across Lougheed; a stall there is light duty towing in Buchanan West.
- Front-wheel-drive cars at a curb are the quickest hookups we do here.
Gilmore Place light duty towing FAQ
My car died in the T&T parking. Who do I call?
Call us. We handle the tow, and the store's parking rules still apply, so let lot staff know if you can.
Is the construction a problem?
Sometimes. Phase 2 was still to be built as of July 2024, so we watch for closures on the way in and route around them.
Can you tow a small pickup out of the parkade?
If it fits the ramp, yes. Small pickups are light duty. A taller truck may need a different exit or a different truck.
What if I am not sure what is wrong?
Read our quick guide on what to do when your car breaks down, then send us the details.
Can you tow from Gilmore Place to a shop in Vancouver?
Yes. Boundary Rd and the Vancouver line are a short drive west along Lougheed, so a tow into East Vancouver is a simple light duty trip.
Is a loaded minivan still light duty?
Yes. A minivan or crossover full of groceries is still light duty. Tell us about roof boxes or bike racks so we can plan the hookup.
